Jermain Defoe will stay at Tottenham despite talk of a move to another Premier League club. Stoke City and West Ham have both been linked with a move for the England international.

However, speaking after Spurs' victory over Dinamo Tbilisi in which the striker bagged two goals, the forward insists that there is no plan to leave White Hart Lane: &nbsp;"Who said that? I think if you see me tonight - I answered all the questions.<br />

"I went out there and worked hard - the same I always have for this club.<br />

"As a forward you get judged on scoring goals. To get a start was good and 90 minutes under my belt.<br />

"To get two goals was nice - everyone was happy. I was desperate for my hat-trick.<br />

"It's good to be at the club at the minute there are a lot of young lads coming in."
