Ozil talks about Arsene Wenger phone call

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spent over a week trying to persuade German international midfielder Mesut Ozil that a move to the Emirates would be the best place to make a move for his career; and the attacking midfielder has shared some more information about the content of the phone call.

Ozil completed a transfer deadline move worth around 50 million Euros from Real Madrid to Arsenal.<br />

&ldquo;Somehow this telephone call just flicked a switch in me,&rdquo; Ozil told&nbsp;<em>Die Welt</em>. &ldquo;I thought: &lsquo;what he is telling me is what I have missed at Real: transparency, trust, respect. He told me exactly how he sees me [as a player], how he wants to use me, what he expects from me and what he hopes I will contribute.&rdquo;
