Man City to make bid for goalkeeping starlet Geronimo Rulli

14 September 2013 - 07:57

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has sent scouts to watch Estudiantes' goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli in action. The highly rated 21-year-old Argentine has forced his way into Estudiantes' first team last season and impressed many with a number of consistent performances for his club.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • With current number 1 at City Joe Hart making a number of mistakes in recent months, it is understood that the Citizens will make a move for a new goalkeeper and Rulli appears to be the top target. Second choice goalkeeper at Manchester City, Costel Pantmilion, appears to be no closer to dislodging the England number 1 from the first team; leaving the Romanian ready to quit Man City and manager Manuel Pellegrini ready to dip into the transfer market in January.<br />

Rulli is valued by his current club at approximately $5 million.
