Preview: Bolton vs Boro

11 November 2007 - 10:31

An intense bottom-five clash between Bolton and Middlesbrough beckons, who have both made their worst ever starts to Premier League campaigns. Boro have never won a Premier league game at the Reebok, whilst Bolton are waiting for their first win in nine matches.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Boro have drawn two and lost six of a winless last eight in all competitions, whilst Bolton are one of three clubs with just one Premier League win. The others are Derby and Tottenham.

Nicolas Anelka (hamstring) and Abdoulaye Meite (knee) are doubtful, while El-Hadji Diouf is suspended. Mido and Woodgate are rated as doubtful for Boro.

    Bolton 2-1 Middlesbrough

Tempers are likely to flare as two of the Premiership's bottom sides go head to head, desperate for points. It is likely to go the way of Bolton though, with a new boss in charge. But, perhaps a defeat for Southgate will spell the end of his career at Boro?

    Score: 2-1 to Bolton

    Goalscorer: Anelka
