Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will soon be in the Anfield side's first team as the striker returns from a 10 game suspension against Man Utd in the Capital One Cup this week. The Uruguayan had been linked with a move away from the Reds for most of the summer but decided to stay put at Anfield.
Suarez's return provides welcome news for Liverpool's manager Brendan Rodgers, who has yet to see his summer signing Iago Aspas bang in the goals in Suarez's absence; whilst Rodgers will also be looking forward to an upstart in form starting this week after a surprise defeat at Anfield to Southampton.
"He certainly comes back into the squad and we’re delighted to have him. It’s been a really difficult time for him in terms of not playing games," said Rodgers.
"But I’ve got to say he’s been fantastic in the way he’s prepared himself over the last few weeks.
"He’s really champing at the bit now to come back and help the team.
"So he’ll travel with us and we’ll reflect over the next 24 hours whether he starts or not."
