Brad Guzan denies talk of imminent move to Arsenal

13 October 2013 - 04:43

Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan has ruled out a transfer move to Arsenal, insisting that he is very happy at his current club and he took time to thank manager Paul Lambert for the regular first team action he has been enjoying so far this season.

  • Arsenal have been looking for a new goalkeeper for some time, with current first choice Wojciech Szczesny coming under fire for a series of poor displays over the past few seasons. Last week, Guzan had been linked with a January transfer move to Arsenal.

However, the American keeper has told reporters that he is currently very happy at Villa Park: "Aston Villa, they’ve stuck by me, especially the manager. He’s given me a chance to play consistent football in Europe. It’s always nice when you’re linked with other teams, but for me, I’m very happy at Aston Villa."
