La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly linked with a move for Italian star midfielder Andrea Pirlo on a free transfer next summer, as per Forza Italian Football.

The 34-year-old veteran who is still regarded as one of the best midfield commanders in the game, has been a top performer for club and country over the years.



Having stalled on a contract extension with Serie A champions Juventus, Pirlo has envigorated interest from a number of top teams to acquire his signature, with Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur considered as favourites.<br />

With rumours suggesting the departures of the likes of Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira from Real Madrid in the near future, Los Blancos have been linked with a number of high profile midfielders.<br />

The reports claims that Real Madrid will be hopeful of signing Pirlo on the cheap next season, when his contract expires with the Turin outfit.<br /><br />
