Real Madrid to sign Tottenham target Andrea Pirlo next summer?

La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly linked with a move for Italian star midfielder Andrea Pirlo on a free transfer next summer, as per Forza Italian Football.

The 34-year-old veteran who is still regarded as one of the best midfield commanders in the game, has been a top performer for club and country over the years.

Having stalled on a contract extension with Serie A champions Juventus, Pirlo has envigorated interest from a number of top teams to acquire his signature, with Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur considered as favourites.


With rumours suggesting the departures of the likes of Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira from Real Madrid in the near future, Los Blancos have been linked with a number of high profile midfielders.


The reports claims that Real Madrid will be hopeful of signing Pirlo on the cheap next season, when his contract expires with the Turin outfit.
