Arsenal plot £7m bid for Youssouf Mulumbu

Arsenal are reportedly readying a £7m January bid for West Bromwich Albion defensive midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu, according to The Mirror.

  • The 26-year-old Congolese International has impressed for the Baggies since his switch from Paris Saint-Germain in 2009 following a spell on loan with French Ligue 2 outfit Amiens SC.<br /><br />The Mirror reports that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is keen on adding an extra defensive midfielder into the Arsenal squad, in order to act as a back-up to the likes of Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta, in case of an injury.



    It is believed that the Gunners will be busy in the transfer market in the winter transfer window, and Mulumbu is considered as one of their top targets.
