Inter Milan are planning a busy January transfer window and it is understood that a move for Sunderland's Italian international winger Emanuele Giaccherini is their top priority.
The Italian has impressed in the short time he has spent at the struggling Premier League club; with manager Gus Poyet eager to keep hold of the right midfielder for the remainder of the campaign.
However, Giaccherini is known to be frustrated that former manager Paolo Di Canio has been fired and is now ready to return to his homeland.
Sunderland are preparing themselves for a bid from Inter and have reportedly priced a transfer away for Giaccherini at around £5.5 million.
