Galatasaray representatives have been in contact with Chelsea this week as they ramp up their efforts to sign the Blues' club captain John Terry. The former England international has 7 months left on his contract and is free to talk to foreign clubs on January 1st.
Terry is still considered an important member of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side but Terry himself is hoping for a long term lucrative final deal as he closes in on the final stages of his playing career. Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini is very concerned that his defence is leaking too many goals and wants to bring in Terry to provide competition for his defensive squad.
The Turkish side are ready to offer a four year deal worth around £5.3million for the Chelsea star and the 32-year-old is open to talks with the club as soon as January comes around.
