Lehmann to stay at Arsenal

17 November 2007 - 01:06

Arsenal's sub goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has surprisingly announced that he fully intends to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place. After being dislodged in the Arsenal goal by Manuel Almunia, Lehmann has made several high profile comments about Arsene Wenger and Manuel Almunia.

  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • "I want to stay with Arsenal until the end of the season," Lehmann told a press conference on Friday.

"I have a responsibility with regard to my family and for my children, even if I were not to regain my place. I cannot just leave like that before the season ends," he added.

The 38-year old keeper has been asked by Germany coaching staff to find himself a club where he could secure regular football if he wants to keep his place in the Mannschaft during next summer's Euro 2008.
