Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is exploring the possibility of signing a new goalkeeper in the January transfer window and Stoke City's first choice keeper Asmir Begovic appears to be his preference.
The talented 26-year-old keeper is currently first choice at Mark Hughes' side but Stoke already have youngster Jack Butland waiting in the wings should Begovic make a move away from the club.
Man City have so far stuck with Joe Hart through his difficulties this season but the club are not afraid to sign another player should one come on the market.
Begovic has been one of the Premier League's consistent goalkeeping performers and is reportedly available for £15m.
