Chelsea line up surprise loan move for Monaco superstar Radamel Falcao

06 December 2013 - 08:22

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a shock loan switch for Monaco and Colombian star striker Radamel Falcao during the winter transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Blues manager Jose Mourinho has apparently been tracking the Colombian marksman for some time and are now preparing to make an offer to sign the Ligue 1 forward on a temporary deal in January, having heard of the player's depression in France.

The Daily Star reports that the former Atletico Madrid star is unhappy with his life in France since his switch, mainly due to the high taxation on his wages, as he earns around £5.8m per-year having been promised a wage structure of around £11m.

This may tempt the Blues boss Jose Mourinho in making a loan move for the player, ahead of a proposed permanent transfer next summer.
