Liverpool's captain Steven Gerrard will be out of action for at least 6 weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Reds' last game against West Ham in the Premier League.
The 33-year-old is now set to miss Liverpool's crucial games over the Christmas period and Brazilian defensive midfielder is set to deputise in his absence. The player limped off the pitch during the second half of the 4-1 win over the Hammers.<br />
Brendan Rodgers is now reportedly considering a move for another midfielder in the January window as he faces at least six months without his inspirational captain. Gerrard joins Jose Enrique and Daniel Sturridge on the sidelines.
