Man Utd line up move for Porto defender Alex Sandro

18 December 2013 - 11:42

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Porto's Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro during the winter transfer window.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Red Devils boss David Moyes is apparently keen on signing a new left-back during the New Year, with the club likely to replace Patrick Evra sooner rather than later.

Although Everton's Leighton Baines is at the top of the club's wishlist, the 22-year-old Brazilian youngster Alex Sandro is considered to be a viable option, given the Toffees' reluctance to let go of their talented England International.
Moyes had a good look on the left-back during Porto's 2-0 away defeat to Atletico Madrid on Matchday 6 of the Champions League and could make a move for the talented star who is currently valued at £15m.
Sandro joined the Primeira Liga champions from Brazilian side Santos in 2011 for a fee of £8m.
