Mohamed Sissoko is being linked with a shock move in January to Premiership rivals Chelsea. The Malian midfielder has been out of the picture in Liverpool's midfield as Javier Mascherano is continually preferred.
On the 28th June, Sissoko signed a contract to extend his Liverpool career a further 4 years, keeping him at Liverpool until 2011.
Barcelona and Juventus had been monitoring the situation with the midfielder, apparently coming close to a switch. However, at the time, Rafa Benitez was keen to hang on to the Malian.
Chelsea interest could set them back over £8m for the player who joined Liverpool from Valencia in 2005.
