Everton closing in on Aiden McGeady deal?

03 January 2014 - 12:53

Everton are reportedly closing in on the signature of Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady in the January transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • According to Russian newspaper Sport Express, the Toffees' higher officials are having talks with the Russian outfit, with the transfer of the Republic of Ireland international being the main subject.

Manager Roberto Martinez, who is believed to be a keen admirer of McGeady's talents, had failed to sign the talented player during his managerial reign at former club Wigan Athletic.

Everton are expected to add in a few recruits in the transfer window, as they aim to finish in the top four at the end of the season.
