Galatasaray to make bid for Nemanja Vidic in July?

12 January 2014 - 05:42

Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini is planning a radical overhaul of his squad at the Turkish side and he hopes to persuade Serbian international defender Nemanja Vidic to swap Man Utd for a move to Southern Europe.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Vidic has so far ruled out signing a new contract at Old Trafford and the player's agent has told reporters that he expects his client to make a move elsewhere. Vidic has attracted the interest of many clubs from all over Europe but is known to favour a move to Turkey if the opportunity is available.

Man Utd have reportedly already spotted the defender that they want to replace the burly Serb, with Villarreal's centre back Mateo Musacchio being monitored by United's head scout Robbie Cooke last week.

Mancini is hopeful that a deal can be agreed to sign Nemanja before the World Cup begins.
