Liverpool are pondering over a summer transfer for Chelsea's veteran defender Ashley Cole at the end of the season.
Cole's contract with the Blues is set to expire in the summer, and the Reds are understood to be keen on signing the talented right-back, who is keen on staying in the Premier League beyond the current season.
Reports elsewhere suggest that the England international could make a switch to the Major League Soccer, with New York Red Bulls monitoring his situation at the West London club.
Cole has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, with Cesar Azpilicueta often preferred at left-back under manager Jose Mourinho this season.
