Arsenal's German striker Lukas Podolski has dismissed claims insisting that he was heading for an exit from the club during the recently concluded transfer window.
The 28-year-old was linked with a switch to the Bundesliga with Schalke 04, which would have seen Julian Draxler move the other way.
However, Podolski has revealed that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had told him to ignore the transfer speculation.
"That was a myth. There was absolutely no truth to it. The coach told me as such and I knew there was no truth in it," He said.
Podolski has notched up 5 goals in 11 games for the Gunners this season.
