Ajax could miss out on Croatian striker

13 February 2014 - 21:51

Ajax Amsterdam are in real danger of missing out on Croatian striker Robert Muric, who currently plays for Dinamo Zagreb.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The striker is a free agent in the summer and has rejected a new deal with the Croatian giants.

It is understood that Ajax are the favorites to land the 17 year old but the Premier league trio of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have joined the queue are keen on landing Muric. There was even news of him joining Red Devils in January but a deal failed to materialize.

The Daily Express are reporting that Muric has given word to the Lancers but no deal has yet been agreed for the striker.

This is what club’s technical director Marc Overmars had to say on the issue,

"Muric is wanted by many clubs - everybody wants him.

"He really is a great talent and will be a free agent in the summer. But he is not yet ours."
