Arsenal are believed to have made contact with the agent of Queens Park Rangers' striker Loic Remy and are interested in making a move for Newcastle's on loan striker in the summer. The French international is said to be looking to quit Newcastle at the end of the season.

  • Remy joined QPR back in 2013 and was unable to keep the London side in England's top flight. Since then, he moved on loan to Newcastle and joined Alan Pardew's side and there the French striker has impressed many with a number of dazzling displays.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a longtime admirer of Remy and had made an approach for the forward when he was at Marseille back in 2011.

The Gunners are confident that discussions with QPR's management team and Harry Redknapp will be positive and that a deal can be agreed in time for next season.

The 27-year-old is said to be looking to stay in the Premier League, despite turning down a permanent move to join Newcastle at the end of this current campaign.
