Chelsea to move for Radamel Falcao?

24 February 2014 - 23:14

Chelsea are believed to be keen on securing the services of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao in the summer, after manager Jose Mourinho fuelled speculation by insisting that he is too good a player to play for Monaco.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni
  • The Express claims that Mourinho is eager to sign up a top-class striker in the summer transfer window and hinted that a move could be on for the Colombian hitman, as it would suit both club and player.

"I have a team, but no striker," The Special One said. "Falcao does not have a team. A player like him can't play in front of 3,000 people. Monaco is a club to end [your career with]."

Falcao, who is currently sidelined due to a knee injury, looks likely to miss the World Cup finals in Brazil.
