Marco Veratti: to stay at PSG

Marco Verratti to stay at Paris St Germain

25 February 2014 - 05:15

Paris St Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has decided that he will be staying put at the French Champions, despite having been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The highly rated 21-year-old has long been linked with a move to David Moyes' Man Utd side, but it appears that he is set to stay put in the French capital amidst reports of a new contract on the horizon.

Verratti is widely regarded as one of Europe's best up and coming midfield talents and the Italian international had attracted a reported £30 million offer from the Premier League champions.

However, the midfielder has effectively ended all talk of a move away after telling French reporters: "Next season I will still be in Paris, it’s not up to me but if it was my intention is to stay here.”
