Arsenal dealt Jack Wilshere injury blow

06 March 2014 - 16:14

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is set to be sidelined for atleast six weeks having suffered from a hairline fracture to the navicular bone in his left foot during last night's international friendly against Denmark.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The talented defender suffered the injury while playing for England as Liverpool defender Daniel Agger made a late challenge and was replaced in the 59th minute by Adam Lallana.

The Gunners' official website have now confirmed that 22-year-old would be out for the next six weeks as he will go through the rehabilitation progress before a return to first-team football.

Manager Arsene Wenger will now be hoping to have the services of Aaron Ramsey and on-loan signing Kim Kallstrom available at the earliest, as the club go through a tough round of fixtures in March, including crucial cup ties against Everton and Bayern Munich looming in the space of three days.
