Liverpool flop eyes summer exit

05 April 2014 - 04:32

Liverpool's out-of-favour striker Iago Aspas is preparing a move away from the Merseyside in the summer.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder

  • Aspas, who joined Liverpool from Celta Vigo last summer, has found chances hard to come by due to the extraordinary form of the strike partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge since the start of the Premier League season.

The former Celta Vigo man has now revealed that he is interested in a transfer to another club at the end of the season.

"I am not a 20-year-old anymore. I can't go on loan and explode." He said. "I think that the best would be to transfer to another club and that I find the best fit for myself and the club."

Aspas has failed to score in 13 appearances for the Reds in the Premier League.
