Arsenal are understood to be tracking the progress of Manchester City youngster Marcos Lopes, with a view to a summer bid for his services.
Football Direct News claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has sent out scouts to watch the talented playmaker in action in recent weeks.
Lopes has failed to make the cut to the first-team in the Premier League, with manager Manuel Pellegrini opting for his star-studded quartet of David Silva, Samir Nasri, James Milner and Jesus Navas this season.
