Arsenal tracking Man City starlet

09 May 2014 - 05:57

Arsenal are understood to be tracking the progress of Manchester City youngster Marcos Lopes, with a view to a summer bid for his services.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • Football Direct News claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has sent out scouts to watch the talented playmaker in action in recent weeks.

Lopes has failed to make the cut to the first-team in the Premier League, with manager Manuel Pellegrini opting for his star-studded quartet of David Silva, Samir Nasri, James Milner and Jesus Navas this season.

Wenger has been known for giving chances to youth talent at the biggest stage, but City, as of now are reluctant to sell their player to a Premier League rival.

Lopez has made 4 cup appearances for the Citizens this season.
