Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has opened talks with the club regarding a new contract. Sterling is expected to earn as much as £100,000 a week and sign a four year contract at Anfield.

  • Sterling forged an impressive attacking partnership at Liverpool last season alongside Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge and now Brendan Rodgers wants to reward the youngster for his good form with a fresh contract.

    Sterling is currently preparing for Brazil 2014 and has told his agent to take care of all contract talks with the club prior to the beginning of the tournament.

    Liverpool hope to announce Sterling's new contract next week.
