Arturo Vidal expects Chile to surprise many as they embark on their World Cup campaign.

  • In spite of being drawn in a tough group comprising of 2010 finalists in Spain and Netherlands, Vidal feels that the South American side have what it takes to qualify for the latter stages of the major tournament.

    "I think we could be the surprise of the World Cup," the Juventus star said. "Many people who don't know the team expect us to be eliminated at the group phase.

    "However I believe we can achieve great things at the World Cup."

    Chile will play their opening fixture against Australia in Group B.
