Arsenal are apparently looking to sign a defensive midfielder this summer and it is understood that AC Milan player Nigel De Jong is on Arsene Wenger's list of summer targets.

The former Manchester City midfielder joined AC Milan two seasons ago and has excelled since moving to Serie A.

That being said, AC Milan are reportedly ready to sell for around 12 million Euros and the Gunners are in pole position to wrap up a deal.

According to reports, QPR are also in the race for De Jong's coveted signature.
