French international Olivier Giroud has revealed that Arsenal will sign a new striker during the upcoming transfer window.

  • The 27-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Montpellier in the summer of 2012, finally found his goal-scoring form last season, as he notched up an impressive tally of 22 goals in all competitions.

    During an interview with InfoSport+, the Frenchman revealed of the club's ambitions, and feels another striker could provide a great competition for his own place up-front at the North London club.

    "I can tell you Arsenal will add a striker to the team. We need another striker. Great clubs have several good strikers, who compete with each other." He said.

    Arsenal have been linked with the likes of Jackson Martinez, Mario Balotelli and Wilfried Bony in recent weeks.
