Mandzukic to Arsenal a possibility

Arsene Wenger wants Mandzukic

Mandzukic to Arsenal a possibility

02 July 2014 - 07:26

Bayern Munich have reportedly set £20 million for Mandzukic and will let him go if Arsenal is willing to pay the set price.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Arsenal is in need for good strikers and Wenger has been eyeing transfers from Germany and Spain. He is in process to finalise a bid for Chilean Alexis Sanchez and will probably complete the deal for Mandzukic.

With Robert Lewandoswki arriving to Bayern Munich this summer, Mandzukic will find it difficult to find a place in the team and so, he is searching for opportunities elsewhere.

Arsenal currently have only French international Olivier Giroud as their proven striker and they might be forced to buy Mandzukic at the aforementioned price.

With Balotelli's move to Arsenal reportedly been shelved, Mandzukic or Sanchez seem to be the possible transfer moves for the Gunners.

In his first season with Bayern Munich (2012-13), Mandzukic won the Bundesliga title, DFB-Pokal and Champions League, also being the first Croat to score in a Champions League final.
