Patrice Evra to Juventus a done deal

10 July 2014 - 17:44

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is set to join Serie A champions Juventus and has agreed to a £2 million deal.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • The Frenchman has reportedly agreed a two-year contract with the Italian giants.

The signing of Luke Shaw from Southampton in a £27 million deal also placed the 33-year-old's place in the side under threat, with van Gaal sure to make the talented youngster his first-choice.

With the Red Devils out of European competition this season, the attraction of playing Champions League football will surely be enough to lure the Frenchman to Juventus.

During his time at the club, Evra has won five Premier League titles and one Champions League title.

Evra would be the fourth defender to leave United this summer with Alexander Buttner, Rio Ferdinand, and Nemanja Vidic have had already departed.
