Chelsea are reportedly set to make an ambitious attempt to land the services of Real Madrid Sami Khedira ahead of Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

  • Chelsea want Newcastle star to replace Cucurella?
  • The Gunners are understood to be keen on landing the services of the German international this summer, as they aim to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Having already signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, the club were keen on signing up the Bayern Munich star. However, Khedira\'s high wage demands of £150000 per week are thought to have deterred the club\'s interest.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is open to offering the 27-year-old with what he wants, as he is keen on a reunion with his former player.

It is also believed that Ramires could be offered as make-weight in the prospective deal.
