Aston Villa are in the middle of a major change of ownership as club CEO Randy Lerner prepares to sell the club.

With that in mind, the Villans are short of finance and now it is apparent that Vlaar, who had a stunning World Cup tournament for the Netherlands, is set to quit Aston Villa in July.

QPR are confident that a deal can be wrapped up for Vlaar this week.
