Liverpool favourites to sign Arsenal target Loic Remy

Liverpool are regarded as front-runners to secure the services of Queens Park Ranger striker Loic Remy after Arsenal cooled down their interest in the player due to his high wage demands.

  • The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be a huge fan of the French international, and many expected the former Marseille star to join the club as a back-up to leading striker Olivier Giroud.

However, the Sun claims that the Gunners pulled out of the deal despite agreeing £8million fee with the Hoops, as Remy failed to take a pay-cut on his £80,000-a-week wages.

It is now understood that Liverpool will sign the French international this summer, having already made an approach for the player's services.
