Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani has been constantly linked with a summer switch away from Paris Saint-Germain, and latest reports reveal that United are prepared to make a record bid worth £56m for the player's services during the current transfer window.

Les Parisiens president Nasser Al-Khelaifi had previously rejected any possibility of the star striker leaving the club.
