Arsenal rule out move for Khedira and Schneiderlin

02 August 2014 - 08:15

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will not make a move for either of the defensive midfield duo Morgan Schneiderlin or Sami Khedira. The Gunners had reportedly made bids for both players.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee

  • Despite Arsenal having a long term interest in French midfielder Schneiderlin, Arsene Wenger has insisted that no bid will be made for the Southampton star. Wenger told reporters: "I wouldn’t like to speak about any names because I wouldn’t want to unsettle Southampton and we have not spoken to Southampton about him."

When he was then asked about a potential move for Germany's World Cup winning midfield star Sami Khedira, Wenger responded: "I do not want to give you any names but at the moment we are not after anybody especially."

Wenger has yet insisted that he is not done in the transfer market yet and with a month to go Arsenal are sure to be linked with a variety of different players.
