Liverpool have almost secured a deal to wrap up the signing of Atletico Madrid's right back Javier Manquillo on a season long loan.

The Spaniard is set to sign a short term deal with the Anfield side and will be an important backup player to Glen Johnson for the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool are busy rebuilding their squad for the 2014-15 season having lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona just after the World Cup.

Brendan Rodgers is also hopeful that he can complete further deals for Sevilla left back Alberto Moreno.
