Liverpool shot-stopper seals Bayern switch

09 August 2014 - 00:09

Bayern Munich have successfully completed the signing of Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina on a three year deal.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Reina's future at Liverpool has been doubt, having spent the past season on loan with Napoli. Having failed to seal a permanent switch to Napoli earlier this summer, reports suggested that the Spain international could stick with the Anfield outfit for the season.

However, the Spaniard opted to make the move to the Bavarian giants, as he was tempted by the chance of winning trophies at the top club in Europe.

"I came here as I want to win as many trophies as possible." Reina said.

The 31-year-old made 394 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool in his nine-year stay.
