Southampton to move for Toby Alderweireld

Southampton are set to make a move for Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld. It is understood Ronald Koeman will table a 12 million pounds bid for the Belgian centre back.

Alderweireld is currently out of favour at the Spanish club and reportedly seeking a transfer away from Atleti this summer before the transfer window closes.

With Southampton seeking a replacement for Dejan Lovren, who joined Liverpool in July, Koeman looks set to opt for the experienced former Ajax defender Alderweireld as a replacement.
