Benfica are to table a bid for Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell. The Arsenal forward is still deemed an important player by coach Arsene Wenger but the Portuguese club are still confident a deal can be agreed.
Arsenal had been considering letting Campbell leave the club but after an injury to Olivier Giroud, it appears that Campbell is now an important member of Wenger's first team plans.
Benfica have sold several players over the summer and only now are the Portuguese champions set to make a move for a new forward.
