The French international has yet to feature in a competitive fixture, as he is still trying to regain full fitness.

Diaby's career at Arsenal has been plagued by a number of injuries in recent years, but manager Arsene Wenger has stood by him, given the ability to impress on his day.

The Mirror claims that Wenger could offer a contract extension to the talented midfielder at some point of the season, should he keep his fitness and feature for the first-team.
