Man Utd flop terminates contract to join Cluj

Manchester United's out-of-favour midfielder Davide Petrucci has signed a one-year deal with Romanian outfit CFR Cluj, according to The Mail.

The midfielder is believed to have terminated his contract with the Mancunian giants in order to seal the transfer.

Petrucci had been on the United ranks for many years, and was considered to be the next big thing coming from the youth setup.

However, the 22-year-old has decided to end his career at Old Trafford, following manager Louis van Gaal's decision to omit him from the club's 25-man Premier League squad.

It is believed that the Italian midfielder has signed on a an initial one-year contract at Cluj, with the option of a second if he impresses.
