  • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
  • The talented centre-back has been ever-present for the Blues this season, and has been recently named the vice-captain of the national side.

Having had a wonderful partnership with John Terry in the heart of the defence, the former Bolton star is expected to be rewarded with a new contract.

Evening Standard claims that Mourinho is keen on extending the stay of important players at the club, with the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and Thibaut Courtois signing new contracts this month.

The report adds that the West London outfit will offer a new long-term deal to Cahill, as they consider his as a successor to John Terry.

Cahill joined the Blues from Bolton Wanderers in January 2012.
