Liverpool keeper not perturbed by Victor Valdes reports

Mignolet confident of success with Liverpool

Liverpool keeper not perturbed by Victor Valdes reports

30 September 2014 - 10:38

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has claimed that he is not worried about speculation linking the club with a move for free-agent Victor Valdes.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is believed to be mulling over a transfer for the former Barca star, with current number one Mignolet failing to show any kind of improvement this season.

The Merseysiders could sign the veteran Spaniard outside the transfer window, as he is currently a free-agent, but Mignolet has played down rumours by insisting that he is training hard to feature for the Anfield outfit.

"If you play for a big club, you have to accept that is the way it is, but I don't read anything into that. I am here to play my game and to do my best every week. I can only work hard in training, be positive and make sure I play well." He said.

Mignolet joined Liverpool from Sunderland for around £9m in the summer of 2013.
