Chelsea star open to January exit

Cech on his way out of Chelsea?

Chelsea star open to January exit

07 October 2014 - 23:36

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech had revealed that he is open to a switch away from the club, if he fails to earn a regular place in the starting line-up.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Czech international has been dropped to the bench by manager Jose Mourinho this season, with Thibaut Courtois being given the goalkeeping duties.

However, the 32-year-old has now admitted that he could seek pastures elsewhere, as his inability to play regular first-team football could hamper his place in the national side.

"I have not spoken to anyone, but I think they know me well enough at the club to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine," He said.

"With the Euros [in 2016] and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play.

"If the situation will not start to improve for me, then I will want to solve it."
