Liverpool to offer record wage structure for Dortmund star?

10 October 2014 - 11:42

Liverpool are believed to be ready to make Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus as the highest paid player in the club's history when the transfer window reopens in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The German international has been linked with a transfer away from the Bundesliga giants over the past few weeks.

According to The Metro, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of the 25-year-old, and is ready to offer him a five-year bumper contract with wages of around £200,000-a-week.

However, the Anfield outfit are set to face stiff competition to secure the services of the talented midfielder, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United also monitoring the proceedings.

Reus has made just two appearances for BVB this season due to injury.
