Spurs track Ajax defender

Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be monitoring the progress of Ajax right-back Ricardo van Rhijn, according to The Mirror.

  • The 23-year-old has been one of the top performers for the Amsterdam outfit in recent seasons.

    According to The Mirror, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to have sent the club's representatives to watch the talented defender in action during Ajax's 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.

    The report adds that the player could switch clubs for a fee of around £5m in the January transfer window.
